*Let f(x) be a function satisfying f(x)f(y)=f(xy) for all real x, y. if f(2)= 4, then what is the value of f(1/2)?

shortcut, by looking at the question nd given matter,the function is f(t)=t*t..

f(2)=f(2*1)=f(2)*f(1)
nw put f(2)=4 on both sides,
=> 4=4f(1)
=> f(1)=1
now again f(1)=f(2*1/2)
=> 1 =f(2)f(1/2)
=> 1 = 4*f(1/2)
=> f(1/2)=1/4
